TCG Singles Trade-In Policy

We currently trade-in Singles for the following games:

• Shadowverse Evolve
• One Piece
• Flesh and Blood
• Star Wars: Unlimited

Selling to Us

You can sell your cards to Spellbound.

We buy cards for 50% market value (average price from UK sellers on cardmarket) in cash, or 70% as store credit. We are charged VAT when we resell, so we unfortunately have to buy at below market rate to not make a loss. We do encourage players to trade and sell cards within the community, so our trade-in services should be a last resort.

We only buy cards that have market value at or above £3, and if we are interested in the card. Unfortunately, we will not consider cards that are low in value.

We will also only buy cards that are Cardmarket Near Mint. We may accept lower condition depending on the card. Please refer to Cardmarket's guidance on card condition:

How to sell to us

In-Person

You can sell us your cards in person! This is the recommended approach as it avoids any issues with postage, payment, and gives you a chance to discuss your options. Pop down to our store and show us what you got.

Online

We can buy your cards through post. Please fill in this spreadsheet template with your cards' name, set number, and foiling and special treatment. Then, please send the spreadsheet to us. We will get back to you regarding what we are willing to purchase and how much we'll price it at, we aim to reply within 24 hours.

Please note we will require a timestamped proof of owernship before agreeing. A timestamped proof of ownership is a photo of the cards in the spreadsheet, along with your name and current date (no older than 7 days)

Once both sides agree to the trade, please send the card to us via postage (will be reimbursed) and we will payout the agreed amount to your account (Either your customer account for store credit or PayPal for Cash).

Please note, we will inspect the cards upon receiving them before paying out. If there are any issues, we will contact you to settle. If no settlement can be made, we will send the cards back to you.

Please also note, we are indeed making the payout after receiving the cards, which is different to peer-to-peer trading where the purchaser pays for the card in advance. This is indeed to give the business more protection. We understand that it lessens the protection for you (the seller). But, since we are a brick-and-mortar store that is an incorporated business, we hope it will give you assurance if you chose to sell to us.

Buying from Us

For most of our singles, you will find us on Card Market (pending).

For games that are not on Card Market, we also keep our stock online and in the shop. The only game that is not on Card Market for us is Shadowverse: Evolve.
